Compadres Hill Country Cocina - Boerne

The food at this restaurant is fantastic! The only issue is that I'm 6'7" and keep bumping my head on the ceiling. Fortunately, they have outdoor seating which helps make up for it.

Great Mexican bar-b-que place. Owned by a local Veteran, the whole family seems to work there. But get there early for lunch or the menu will be limited. They cook so much meat a day, when it's gone, that's it. Nice little local place. Really have enjoyed everything I've tried there EXCEPT the pulled pork. It was a little too greasy for me. But it was still flavorful.

I was extremely disappointed with the chicken tacos at this restaurant. The chicken was dry and the rice lacked flavor.

We had a fantastic lunch at this restaurant. The Raspberry Chipotle Tacos were absolutely delicious. We definitely plan on returning the next time we are in town.

Huge burrito like enchiladas filled with tender brisket and topped with 2 sauces plus Pico “ nice touch”! Rice was moist and beans were hot. Excellent Barbecue joint with a Hispanic flare! Worth the stop in Boerne Texas.
