Visited Bochum to watch the football with some friends. Went here after the game and had a brilliant time chatting with some of the locals. Been to Germany a number of times and I believe the Germans are the friendliest, most welcoming people I've experienced in Europe. Bochum was a memorable experience thanks in a large part to the great people I met.

Typische Ruhrgebietsbierkneipe! Menschen mit dem Herzen auf der Zunge. Wirte/innen so typisch, dass man meinen könnte, es wären Schauspieler. Herrlich gemischtes Publikum, das immer wieder für eine spannende Unterhaltung sorgt, auch wenn man nur zuhört. Herz mit Schnauze, aber richtig.

Loistava paikka, ystävällinen henkilökunta. Pubi tyyppinen ravintola, edessä terassi, seisomapöydät, hyvää olutta.

I have tried to put this place on before but it is still pending. Beer cheaper than elsewhere and the service ambience unbeatable in my eyes at least. Beer at one euro. I paid almost three times as much elsewhere. You can tell the people who frequent it are from here and regulars which must be a good sign and they are locals who have lived here all their lives so obviously have decided where is best to go.
