El Patio - Bobcaygeon

We had Mediterranean platter it was great, fantastic treat with craft beer.Service was excellent.

We stopped in Bobcaygeon during our drive through the Kawarthas and had lunch at El Patio as they were dog-friendly. Great patio, okay service and white-washed Mexican food at best. Avoid ordering the hangover poutine as what I received looked like nothing short of what gets regurgitated after a night of heavy drinking. One of the wait staff tried to convince us that I received what I ordered, which I did, if it was described as cold, soft, french fries, sitting in a puddle of thin unidentifiable sauce, topped with handfuls of pickled onion and jalapeño peppers straight from a jar. The saving grace was that our waiter was understanding and didn 't charge us for that abomination.

The crowd was fun and an interesting mix of people. Too bad the karaoke stopped working in the middle of the night.

Hair in burger, wasn't fully cooked, left me feeling sick. The burger was really good

Sorry to be a downer but food and margaritas were less than good. Massive plate of nachos came but cheese and toppings on 1/4 in the centre of it only. Had to buy sour cream and gaucaomole for $3 extra for each one. Super tiny portions came. The poutine he had was ok. BUT... the Margaritas were awful, just so tart and flat and just gross tasting even with lime squeezed in. Atmosphere and service were fine. Disappointing and will not return.
