Lizard's Thicket - Blythewood

As always, Lizards Thicket was just what we needed after a day filled with activities. A couple vegetable plates got us going again! Please open a location in the upstate I'd love to be a more regular visitor!

Are you a geriatric patient with a few hours to spare? Well then, this place is for you. The food will remind you of the good ole days at your old nursing home. Don't have teeth? No problem, you won't even need them. Service is impeccable, the wait staff won't even speak to you, Great for those nights when you just want to hear the running toilet in the background. Don't leave the money on the table though when you leave, this place is IHOP certified, so just leave your money on the cashier stand. Note, the mute wait staff will not tell you about this, it must be part of the entertainment package, like a treasure hunt, except you leave the money after filling up with sand.

My wife and I always stop here whenever we come through Columbia, SC. We live 2 hours away in NC. We normally have a great experience. Today however was absolutely terrible. We were seated at table 11. Our service never once smiled and just acted like she didn't wanna be there. She only checked on us once almost 30 mins after we had started eating to see if we wanted refills. 45 mins after that we were still waiting for her to come back back because we were going to order dessert. But she never checked up on us so we both got irritated and asked someone else to give us our bill. She seemed like she was just trying avoid all of the customers at all costs. My wife and I have been stopping by here periodically for the past 4 years. But today will be our last visit ever. Very disappointed in our experience today.

Cannot express how much deliciously delicious this place is. The service is extra special good. Highly recommend 12/10.
