Hickory Inn - Bloomville

Excellent food. Unique pizza and hot chicken salad are worth a try. Staff and casual atmosphere provide for a pleasant meal. A great place for friends.

I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time, but it definitely won't be my last visit. I went with a group of friends who recommended trying the house-made sauerkraut balls, and I was not disappointed. It seems that most items on the menu are also made in-house, which was a pleasant surprise. The cook, who also serves as the bartender, had prepared three desserts the night before: strawberry pie, pineapple upside-down cake, and cinnamon rolls with apples, all of which were delicious. My friends ordered the Lake Erie yellow perch sandwich and the Dagmar burger, both of which were generously sized and tasty. The staff was friendly and personable, and although the exterior of the restaurant may not be impressive, the interior had typical bar decor. The cook clearly takes pride in his menu, making this place stand out. He could easily be considered a chef.

The fried fish and burgers at this restaurant are fantastic.

It is greatly missed now that it is closed.

I think they r closed. They got busted for under aged sales.
