Buckhorn Family - Bloomsburg

Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I'm not typically selective, but everything fell short during my visit. The service was inadequate, and the food didn't meet expectations either. The pancakes, in particular, were the worst I've ever had.

Let’s put to rest the idea that truck stops offer good food and that truckers are experts in finding the best meals. Sadly, this place, now called the Country Pride Restaurant, had nothing positive to offer—except for a sense of sympathy for the waitstaff who had to serve the unappealing dishes from the kitchen. You would be far better off selecting any of the other choices available at this exit of I-80. The all-day breakfast was lackluster, and the burgers were bland. Honestly, "Country Shame" would be a more appropriate name for this establishment.

The food was mediocre and didn't provide good value for the price. I spent $8.99 on an 8-inch cheesesteak with fries, but the sandwich was quite dry. My son got a double cheeseburger, which was decent and cost $11. The service was very slow; it took 35 minutes for our food to arrive after we ordered. It seems like they focus on the buffet, which looked pretty average for the $15 price. With so many other options in the area, I don't think I'll be coming back here.

This restaurant may not be the absolute best I've visited, but their comfort food really stands out. The waitstaff is exceptional, and the portion sizes are generous, satisfying your hunger while leaving you feeling good. Additionally, every meal includes a complimentary soup and salad bar. I tried the steak with a baked potato and garlic toast, and it was fantastic. The steak was grilled perfectly—juicy and cooked just right. The baked potato was enormous, enough to feed three people, and the Wisconsin cheese soup was simply amazing! The prices are quite reasonable as well. I will definitely return the next time I'm in town!

The service was extremely slow, and the meat was badly overcooked. When my meal finally arrived, it was cold. This used to be an excellent restaurant, but I will be avoiding it from now on.
