Wahlburgers - Bloomington

The ordering process also puzzled me. I had to order at the counter in a totally self-serve setup, yet the receipt had a line for tips. After placing my order, I sat down, and my food arrived in about 20 minutes. However, the staff just dropped it off at my table without a word or even asking if I wanted any condiments like ketchup, which felt quite odd. It seems like they’re trying to replicate the vibe of Shake Shack, but they fall short. I’m glad I gave it a try, but I certainly won’t be going back. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend it; it feels more like fast food at twice the price.

I can't really comment on the food since we never got a chance to try it. When we arrived at the restaurant, we stood waiting to be seated, but nobody acknowledged us. After a while, we decided to sit at the bar instead. Unfortunately, the bartender was rather unfriendly and told us they were busy—even though only a few tables were occupied—and that it would be at least 30 minutes before she could take our drink and food orders. When we asked if she wanted us to leave, she simply said, "It's up to you." So, we left and found a nearby burger place where we received fantastic service. I definitely won't be coming back here. The Wahlbergs should be disappointed to see their establishment running this way.

The chicken sandwich and tater tots are delicious. My daughter loves this place, so we go often. The staff is friendly, and the bartender was very accommodating. Although the service can be a bit slow at times, the overall experience is positive. However, the bathroom is frequently in disarray.

In the last months I have been here 3 times. Love the Thanksgiving Day Burger. The Adult birthday cake shake was yummy. Really need to read the descriptions of the food for a good laugh.

I assure you that I am not making this up yesterday my wife and I, with our children, arrived at Wahlburgers in Bloomington (attached to Hy Vee around 7:20 PM. We ordered our food (which, I might add, is significantly overpriced and at that precise moment the cook walked up to the register and told us that the broiler had just then broke down and he could not make any hamburgers. He could not re light the burners, etc. So, I ordered a pizza in Hy Vee and my wife and kids ordered menu items at Wahlburgers that didn 't need the broiler (a salad, mac cheese, a chicken sandwich, a couple of sides, etc. . We paid just over $40 for items that were our second choices at best, and waited. My pizza was ordered, prepared, finished, and paid for, and when I walked back into Wahlburgers I discovered that none of the food my wife and kids had ordered had been served! Then, a young woman came by and reminded us that the store would be closing at 8:00 it was then about 7:45. I told her that we didn 't have our food, and when she walked back into the food prep area to investigate, she discovered that the cook had up and left!! He didn 't say a word to anyone he just walked out, and made NO EFFORT to prepare our food. The female employee made sure we got at least a couple of the items that were readily available, but my son got absolutely no part of his order. To her credit, the woman issued us a full refund, and as we were leaving at 8:00 we overheard her on the phone with her manager, explaining the situation. Hopefully, the cook will not be coming back, ever. Avoid this place if you can we won 't be coming back, ever.
