Taste Of Scandinavia Bakery Cafe

The Manager Morgan is absolutely amazing. She kicks butt and runs the place beautifully. Not to mention the staff there are always nice! Food is amazing and affordable definitely a favorite spot to eat! A hidden gem! It's very homey!

I was disappointed in the Scandinavian Strawberry Torte I ordered recently. This cake had been a favorite of ours, ordered for our kids' graduation parties in years past. This time, on a smaller cake, the strawberries on top were bruised, with the beginnings of mold on them. I had to take them off before serving the cake to guests. It also seemed like lower-cost ingredients had been used in the cake. Filling layers were very thin, and cake was dry and lacking in flavor.

Dinner atmosphere, nothing fancy but comfortable. I had really nice service and delicious Swedish meatballs. Took some cookies to go Lemon Poppyseed Sandwich Cookie and Cardamom Cookie, both were good but I especially loved the Cardamom Cookie!

Average dinner with a bit above average food. Good food just not impressive.

The place didn't disappoint. With friends, I had the lefse with jelly, and the ligeonberry jam sandwich melt. It was my first time trying authentic Norwegian food, which felt like it was homemade. I am beyond impressed with this cafe, and the waitress was very friendly. Our food was brought over fast, and she asked us how our food was too without forgetting about getting us refills, too. The taste of Scandinavia is just amazing. Absolutely give this place a try.
