Rob Dob's Restaurant Bar - Bloomington

This was our second visit to this restaurant, and once again we enjoyed delicious food at affordable prices. However, on both occasions, despite making reservations weeks in advance, we were seated in the unimpressive banquet room. We feel that this room lacks the charm and ambiance of the main dining area, and it feels more like a wedding or conference setting. We suggest that the banquet room be reserved for overflow or walk-in guests, while those with advanced reservations should be given priority for the main dining area.

Food was good. Only food issue was we ordered a side of Caramelized Brussels Sprouts but they were not as described not caramelized and no Parmesan. Kudos to our server however who listened to our comments, apologized and did not charge us for them. My only other comment is the ambiance is strange. Beautiful interior but background music didn't fit the decor. Music belonged in a 50's diner. Not that the music was bad it just didn't fit. A better fit would have been something like Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin. Overall we had a nice meal.

Amazing food and service! Absolutely loved the dining experience!

The prime rib and sea bass were amazing. Marilu was our waitress and she was extremely attentive. For our first time at this location it is a great find and we will be back.

My partner and I came here to celebrate our anniversary. We were seated at a lovely table on the patio on a perfect evening. This restaurant in Bloomington, IL is consistently one of the best dining spots we frequent.
