Duffer's Grill And Lounge - Blind Bay

On Thursday, September 21, 2023, we dined with a large group at Shuswap Lake Estates Golf Club. The service was exceptional, thanks to a wonderful young lady whose name I can't recall, but she truly did an amazing job. The food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. We've found our new favorite spot in the area!

Our server, Breaana, was quite busy attending to other tables, but she made sure to take excellent care of us and even spent a little time chatting with us. We appreciated that the tables were thoroughly sanitized between guests, which added to our comfort. The menu was somewhat limited, but everything we tried was quite good. My husband ordered the steak sandwich with mushrooms, which he enjoyed immensely, although he mentioned it was slightly overcooked. However, it was still excellent, so he chose not to send it back. It came with a fresh salad, a generous basket of French fries, and some onion rings—all of which were delicious. I had the salt and pepper chicken wings, and they were fantastic. The wings were a good size, perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and moist on the inside—definitely among the best chicken wings I've ever had. My husband enjoyed a glass of wine with his meal. While the wine selection was limited, it complemented our casual dining experience well. Overall, it was a great spot for a relaxed meal.

The restaurant was mostly closed off, with guests only being served in a portion of the space. I can envision that the ambiance here must be delightful with the fireplaces going! It also seems like it would be a lovely spot in the summer. The food was decent, but their Caesar salad is outstanding. This isn’t necessarily a destination for unique, gourmet meals, but it’s perfect for friendly service or a bite to eat after a round of golf. Our server, Lori, was wonderful.

The service was quite good and the food was good, but not exceptional. We were there for wing Wednesday and it was good but the honey garlic wings were dipped in sauce, not cooked with it. Too sticky for my liking others had dry wings and I sampled a few, and they were very good.

Use to be very good couple years ago! But now horrible. Very expensive for okay food, horrible serves (waitress was very slow and never checked in), food took over a hour and there was only 2 other tables. Ordered a salad and it had the wrong dressing, told the waitress after 15 minutes of trying to get her attention. She Didn't bring a new one or a discount.. very disappointed and will not be returning
