El Jacalito - Blackwood

This was the most terrible Mexican restaurant I?ve ever been to. I should have known when they asked if I wanted fries with my burrito. The sauces were watery and the salsa tasted like it came out of a can. Nothing tasted fresh. The shrimp were severely over cooked. I?m not sure exactly what was in the burrito. It said it was supposed to be rice, beans, cheese and sour cream. But if you look at the picture, you?ll see that it doesn?t look that one. My sister in law sent her food back because it was disgusting, she was still charged for it. They don?t care about customer experience at all.

Overall not to bad would defin go there again for the tacos. Tried their toastones but they were burnt and really greasy. Kinda of disappointed with how they came out. We also had there pork chops in a red sauce which wasn't bad. I would defin give the place a second chance.

I am only giving a star because I have to in order to leave a review.The food was horrible my kids didn?t even finish their plates and they are very greedy children. On top of the food being nasty I got charged for a dish that I took two bites of and sent back because it had no taste. I tried putting the red and green sauce on top and still couldn?t bare to eat it. And to top off the whole night my daughter ended up in the bathroom as soon as we got home.

Little tiny place with the nicest people and absolutely delicious Mexican meals. Added bonus Jarritos soda sold. Oh great 3 milk cake too.

Love this place! Delicious, fresh, and friendly local go-to. Barbacoa tacos...the best!
