The Orana Hotel - BLACKSMITHS

We had not been to the Orana for years and it was great! Friendly efficient staff, good food with some specials and even a good old fashioned shout over the bar when someone had a big win made it very memorable. We will be back!

Fantastic bistro with a great menu. Food was plentiful and delicious! Thumbs up to the wonderful staff who made us feel very welcome.

Came here twice for lunch and dinner as we were staying nearby for a few days. We had the fisherman’s basket garlic bread for lunch, the food was ordinary. Then came back for dinner and had the pizza and dessert. The food then was good which is why 4 stars. The service is ok, it was a bit slow. You can bring a dog to the outdoor section. The outdoor area is nicely renovated.

My partner and I are locals, and come quite often as we love that we’re able to bring our dog along. We’ve never had a problem with the service or food. It has always been great. The last time we had dinner though, was a stand out for great customer service. As someone who suffers with allergies, going out for food always brings a level of anxiety. However, the last time we had dinner here the chef went above and beyond to manage and control our requests as per my allergies to the highest standard. Going as far as to put all dressings and sauces on the side and personally come out, after our food had been brought out and explained the different ingredients in the dressing on my salad just to make sure I wasn’t allergic. This is one of a few experiences that I’ve had were I knew and felt that my allergies had been taken seriously. My partner and I will continue to go to the Orana Hotel many more times, but as we have both worked in hospitality, we know how far good reviews can go and we wanted to praise the outstanding service and fantastic food.

Have eaten at the bistro twice in a matter of weeks. Staff are super friendly, helpful approachable. My wife and I on both visits have ordered a scotch fillet each, both times steaks were cooked to perfection. Best steak we have both had in a very very long time. Food is amazing. We won’t go anywhere else for a pub feed now lol. Atmosphere is inviting clean, we love sitting outside it’s beautiful. Menu is easy to read. And food is well priced. Great job Team!
