Contribuiți la feedbackOn gameday, had a great meal. Love the classic diner vibe!!! Food was very hot and fresh. Server really was working hard. But I put that first since we did wait a really long time. This was partly due to gameday restaurant traffic and partly due to lack ofemployees/employees not being at the front to greet guests. But awesome food.
Very disappointing. I got the BLT and there was such a small amount of tomato I had to look carefully to even see it and maybe two slices of bacon all for 4.99. I have had luscious thick BLT's and this wasn't one. My partner had the Burrito. It was OK butnot worth 9.99. Won't be back. They are very nice folks and the place is interesting historically but the food is meh.
I would not recommend going to this place probably ever. 4/12/24 We came in asking for a party of 6 as 2 of the 6 people. We were told we’d have to wait for our whole party which was fine that’s what we were doing. And then we were seated anyway by the older women hostess with just the two of us and we informed her that the rest of the party was coming in a few short minutes. She came back to the table one minute later and started ripping away part of the table as one other person of our party walked in, insisting she would get in trouble because she sat us. I informed her that we didn’t have to be seated but we were and we were all going to be here soon. We discussed amongst ourselves as we left regaling to story and she came back over to us, shoved me out of the way insisting she wasn’t yelling at us and ripped away our silverware and left. She then came back to our table insisting we were disrespectful and we had to get up and leave because we had sat down, when she seated us. Then the rest of our party comes in as she rips away our menus and silverware and insists we can’t sit there. We ended up having a waitress come over and ensuring we could stay. We ordered and finished and mentioned the mishap to another employee as a tale of customer disrespect. She then went up to us and started to berate my mother saying I was disrespectful and the like. My mother encouraged that she was in fact the disrespectful one and reminded her that customer service was priority. She then physically shoved us to the front of the store and screamed that we could never come back and she didn’t want to ever see us again and then cursed us out the door. In my recommendation the place would be stellar without this specific older hostess as the waitress was phenomenal and the service was fast
Clearly we must have gone on the wrong day and ordered the wrong items. We went on a Sunday for a quick lunch. We were seated and given waters and then sat for 15 minutes without another staff member speaking to us. They wouldn’t even make eye contact as if they couldn’t be bothered with picking up our table. Finally someone approached us to take our order and that’s when it went downhill. I ordered a grilled cheese and onion rings. Pretty basic and simple, right? When it finally arrived that poor sandwich was smashed within a centimeter of its life. It was about as thick as a sheet of notebook paper. The onion rings- they were ok. My husband got a grilled chicken sandwich. It was laughable. It was basically a small chicken tender on a bun. Once he picked it up, it immediately fell apart and was just a mess. I get, most people enjoy Joes. But that day- clearly something was off.
I still enjoy the old school atmosphere and friendly service. Food is reliable diner fare. Parking is available nearby in the pay lot. You might walk right past it if you're not paying attention. Good times.
