The service and snacks were excellent. I highly recommend the couch seats in the back—they offer a charming and private atmosphere. The wine flights served in cups are quite amusing. Overall, I’d rate the food 5/5.

**Gluten and Dairy Free Options:** Yes! The kitchen salad was delightful, and while the roasted sweet potato salad wasn’t dairy-free, substitutions were available and it was quite tasty as well. The food was reasonably priced for the quality. Our server recommended a lovely California red that matched my taste preferences perfectly. If you enjoy wines with notes of chocolate, coffee, caramel, or stone fruits, I highly recommend "The Prisoner." The service was attentive, and the atmosphere struck a nice balance of relaxation and style. It was a bit crowded and somewhat noisy, but not excessively so; it was pleasantly lively compared to the many college bars in the area. If you’re looking for a break from typical party scenes and want a pleasant evening with a delicious meal and great wine, definitely give The Wine Lab a try!

There aren't many places in Vermont where you can find gourmet or upscale dining, especially ones that stay open late. The Wine Club, located on the edge of the Vermont campus, offered a delightful dining and drinking experience. Their Charcuterie Board was outstanding; the selection of cheeses and meats was top quality. The confit duck was delicious, beautifully complemented by the fruits that balanced the richness of the dish. The sandwiches were also impressive, featuring a distinctly European flair. The Reuben, for instance, wasn't overloaded like you might expect, but it was absolutely delicious. The service was great, although it seemed like there were only two staff members on the floor—one handling drinks and another from the kitchen—so we were overlooked for outside orders until we managed to get someone's attention and remind them. Booking a reservation through their website was easy.

I live in Napa and the selection at this place is better than what you can find anywhere in Napa. Very good food!

First time coming here during my visit to Blacksburg! Such a cute place, great ambience, and so many wine options! We got the New World Flight with 2 reds and 1 white wine, and they all tasted amazing! Not too sweet, more on the dry side, very flavorful. I'm not a huge red wine person, but these tastes great! Can't wait to come back!
