Goggins Of Monkstown - Blackrock

Our family had a very unwelcoming experience at this restaurant. The woman working behind the bar was incredibly rude. We arrived right when the restaurant opened and felt like we were a burden to them. We only stayed because there were no other restaurants nearby that we could walk to.

Dealt with 2 members of staff last Saturday evening, the 1st, female rated 0 out of 100, the 2nd, a barman tried his best. I won't be going back.

I went to watch a football game with my friends at this restaurant. There were two staff members working - a friendly blonde girl and a rude older woman with brown hair. The blonde girl was welcoming and accommodating, but the older woman was incredibly rude. She insisted that we couldn't sit at the bar without ordering alcohol and then told us we had to order drinks or leave. She even said that some of us would have to wait outside if we didn't order. As a non-drinker, I felt pressured and embarrassed by her unprofessional behavior. My friends and I will not be going back to this establishment as we felt unwelcome. I suggest avoiding this place if you can.

We got a very warm welcome, staff very friendly, place is comfortable. Tap is the gents is roasting hot and dangerous, needs fixing. TV's not in the best places for watching a match.

Avoid Avoid Avoid !!!! Monkstown is a lovely village , dont ruin your experience of Monkstown by going here. There is plenty of other lovely places for food /drink I would hate for a tourist to end up here. Myself and my wife went yesterday evening. Ordered a drink and food. Food arrived 50+ minutes later. I understand that things can go wrong but the attitude of staff was unbelievable. The girl said things like 'Do you have to be somewhere.... ' They had no interest in rectifying our experience. Food was **** aswell.
