Fish freshly boiled to perfection, good chips, help them, sauces on the theke, eat them inside or outside, and very friendly staff sympathetic to wait for my swearing young dog outside. no complaining of me and I would go back.
My family of 5 visited this restaurant on October 28th and spent nearly £40 on food. When our food was brought to our table, we found that the chips were undercooked and hard. We brought this to the attention of the staff, but were met with dismissive and rude responses. Despite trying to explain that the issue was not with the color but with the cooking, we were ignored. Another diner nearby also had an issue with their meal and left in frustration. We managed to eat the parts of the chips that were edible, but ultimately had to throw away a significant portion of the meal. We will not be returning to this restaurant, as there are plenty of other fish and chip shops in the area that cook their food properly.
I was completely disappointed with the chips and gravy at this restaurant. I didn't even bother eating anything after taking a photo. It wasn't even worth the money. The chips were terrible and tasted like cardboard. Definitely the worst chips I've ever tried!
We went for lunch and it felt like we were at a funeral with the staff's demeanor, as if they were living in a cemetery. They never said please or thank you, and struggled to bring our food to the table with two children. The restaurant was messy and the food was average considering the price. The chips seemed reheated and the overall experience was disappointing. We would not return, even if it was the only option available.
