Golden Sea - Blackpool

The food is good when they get the order right. This is our third time ordering and they have gotten it wrong five times. This time, we ordered chop suey but received chow mein instead. Being gluten intolerant, I had to throw away my meal. Please double check your order as there seems to be a problem with accuracy. A relative who lives nearby no longer uses this restaurant as they were also given the wrong food.

I called in here for the first time during lockdown as all the other local takeaways were either busy or online order only. The food was well cooked and tasty with plenty of prawns in my king prawn foo yung. Service was quick although, a...word of warning, there was a two hour wait for deliveries as they were very busy. Takeaway is clean and has a star health rating. I will be calling here again.

Used to use this takeaway quite a lot and to be fair had some excellent meals, but stopped as the quality of food went down hill. I decided to give it another try last night. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The crispy...beef in chilli sauce which I remember being very good was terrible it was actually like leather and had absolutely no taste other than bitter chilli it really wasn't nice. my partner also had crispy beef in kung po sauce which was a lot better than mine. Another point I'd like to add is the price they charged me was well over the top. I know leather is expensive but come on guys, for poor quality main courses and some dried up deep fried tasteless chewy ribs is excessive. On the plus side they sent some free spring rolls which was probably the best part of the whole experience. Just a thought maybe don't overcharge your customers and concentrate on getting the food people actually want something close to edible, instead of the grand gesture of free spring rolls. If I was to order the same thing from a very closely situated rival it would have cost and in my experience has always been extremely good. Just can't belive the place is still open if that's the best it can do. I'd like to say it was nice doing business with you but that would be a blatant lie!!!

I ordered on a Friday phone person wasn’t very jolly but ordered anyway very prompt delivery prawn crackers were stale and chicken dough balls ok quite greasy sauce ok spring rolls ok probably will try elsewhere next time

This Blackpool restaurant is the best when it comes to Chinese takeout. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal for two, which consisted of sweet and sour chicken, beef with mushrooms, fried rice, spring rolls, and prawn crackers. Additionally, the order also included a side of Chios. The food arrived before the estimated time and was piping hot. I was very pleased with the quality and will definitely be ordering from here again. Highly recommended!
