Golden Mile Cafe - Blackpool

I will never go back to this restaurant due to the rude staff. My husband is hard of hearing, and they made fun of him. When I went back to the counter to change my tea to one without sugar, they tried to insist that he ordered two with sugar. I clearly heard him order one with sugar and one without. Their attitude was appalling.

I felt very unsafe at this restaurant. Fewer than half of the adults were wearing masks, and the track and trace system was only via text message. We completed it while in line, but were not asked if we had done so before entering. There was no social distancing inside, and I did not see any staff members cleaning down the slot machines and games, which were placed right next to each other. It would be better if they were spaced out or out of use to maintain social distancing measures.

My family and I went for breakfast at this restaurant. We sat at a table that hadn't been cleared yet and were yelled at by a rude woman with red plaits, saying the table had not been sanitized. We then waited in line to order our food and witnessed this woman yelling at a young girl who had made a mistake with a breakfast order. The poor girl was almost in tears. I have never encountered such rude behavior in my life. If my children weren't with me, I would have spoken up. However, the food was delicious and served by a polite young man.

Read previous reviews of the rude woman with the red hair. I didn 't think she was rude at all. She ran a tight ship on trying times and everyone knows where they stand. Got 6 meals all were cooked really well. My meat and potato pie looked and tasted home made. Cheap enough and that woman! She was a wonder and without her I think the place would fall apart

Chips being kept warm in a plastic storage tub all day, barely cooked and the chef thought it hygienic time be serving the fish onto a plate with his hands. There’s a reason it’s cheap... A shame as the arcade is brilliant.
