Went to The Blue Jax restaurant and cannot fault anything. Service fantastic and the food delicious

My fiance and I stayed here on the weekend that he proposed to me, and couldn't recommend this place more highly to anyone looking to get away and explore the beautiful Blue Mountain surroundings. It was a really special weekend, completed by the easy going but comprehensive service at the hotel. On arrival, Geoff greeted us and gave us a little tour of the hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the hotel itself is unique and interesting in its decor. There is a common library where we were able to enjoy some port wine, chocolate and a game of chess. The outdoors area is also quite charming and quaint. We were there on a hot weekend but the room remained quite cool, and the ceiling fan also helped. The genuine hospitality and service from Geoff and Vicki made the weekend extra special. They had good knowledge of the local Blackheath area, which was only about a 10 minute walk away. With a car, we easily accessed other sights in the Blue Mountains, like those in Leura and Katoomba. The location of this hotel meant it was convenient as a base from which to explore, but was also in a quiet area so we could enjoy some downtime. The complimentary breakfast was delightful and fresh, and Geoff and Vicki were happy to have a chat and help us out with anything we needed. As we were leaving the hotel at the end of our trip, Geoff brought a bottle of sparkling wine to us as a gift for our engagement a gift that wasn't necessary but was definitely appreciated, and put an extra special spin on our engagement weekend. I'd be thrilled to stay at The George Boutique Hotel again in the future.
