A & W - Blackfalds

Went there at supper to the drive thru. Waited 10 minutes in drive thru ( one vehicle ahead of me to order). Waited 10minutes to get to order speaker. The lady said she would be with me shortly. Waited 5 more minutes and asked if someone was going to take my order. The lady said they were having troubles ringing in a coupon. I said well park them and take our order this is suppose to be fast food. Someone else came on and said don't be nasty and to leave the line up if I didn't like it. Kind of hard when someone else is behind you also waiting to order but guess what? They heard what the lady said and backed out and left. Then I backed out and drove away. Lost two cars of customers because someone was being rude. I most certainly wasn't being nasty I was just stating a fact. It's suppose to be fast food. If I wanted to wait that long I could have went for a sit down meal and been treated nice.

Great workers & supervision clean and good food located in a convenient area in town easy to get to large menu to choose from also coupons to use ocasionaly

Avoid during lunch/dinner rush as staff volume is not adequate to keep up with customer demand during these times. lots of mistakes made, but food quality is as good as can be expected from a fast food restaurant.

Our family always enjoy the fresh made burgers and fries here. The coupons are great to have too. Staff are always friendly and the environment is very clean

Let me start off by saying that I would even argue the service received at this A & W surpasses service received in a more formal sit down restaurant. Really.My husband and I came here once for breakfast and we went in to sit down. A young lady (whom was washing the glass of the entry doors) opened the door for us as we came in and greeted us with enthusiasm. The ladies behind the counter were equally friendly.This was not a one-off thing! We had come through the drive thru this morning and the service was mind-boggling! The lady over the intercom was so friendly it almost took us aback! When we pulled up to the window, we overheard a conversation between two co-workers regarding exchanging a shift, and the interlude between them was so pleasant! They were friendly, polite, well spoken, it was truly remarkable! When she handed the perfectly folded bag (our picture is a bit crumpled from us grabbing it, but I'm telling you, it was picture perfect!) she even held her hand under the bag so it wouldn't sag! This place is like something out of the twilight zone!This experience was something heralded straight from the 50's, where customer service actually existed.The experience is worth a drive from Lacombe or Red Deer, you won't be disappointed.Shame on you Blackfalds for not giving glowing reviews of this place!
