Double Dragon Cantonese - Blaby

This takeout restaurant is possibly one of the worst I've ever tried. Despite some positive reviews, I did not have a good experience. The Chicken Chow Mein was bland, the Sweet and Sour Chicken had soggy and thick batter, and the Chicken Satay even had mushrooms in it. The Salt and Chili chips were cold and lacking chili, and the Curry sauce was more like a salt sauce. I ended up throwing away the £35 meal. In my opinion, both Blaby and Whetstone have better options.

The food quality was excellent, possibly some of the best I've had from a small restaurant in a while. The intimate seating area was comfortable with only a few tables, and the staff appeared to be friendly.

I ordered from this restaurant tonight and the food arrived in less than an hour. The chicken balls were extremely salty, causing my tongue to feel strange after just one bite. The curry sauce was overpowering and the shrimp tasted unpleasant. The rice was cold. The spring rolls were enjoyable, but overall I will not be ordering from this restaurant again. I usually enjoy their food, but the lady named Florence in the store was very rude. She refused to acknowledge that the food was inedible and told me not to order from them again. She also refused to apologize or offer any compensation.

Excellent food and service. All clean and lovely. We ate in, but there was a constant stream of people collecting take aways. Lacked lustre dinning room. But food perfect. Service perfect.

Nice place, a little bit chilly but not enough to really bother anyone. Only had to wait about 10 minutes for our food, which they maybe went a little overboard with the salt on, but still delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful and good choice of food on the menu. Overall good experience.
