James Dahl Indian - Birmingham

Our experience at this restaurant was not the best. We felt very rushed throughout our visit as if they couldn't wait for us to go to free the table. The restaurant was fairly busy loud. We had booked a few days before so not a walk in Drinks were ordered promptly however the coke was flat obviously poured from a bottle which had been open a while and it was also warm. We asked for it to be changed a small bottle of coke was brought to the table much better however we were charged extra for this on the bill! Food portions main meal were a good size . The garlic naan however was undercooked very doughy. No offer to change it No one came to check if all was ok or more drinks were needed No dessert menu was offered but staff hovered near the table to clear plates whilst we were still eating Not somewhere we will be visiting again very poor customer service

The service was excellent the food was a modern twist of Indian food I’ve had before. The sauces were all amazing so order the papadam!! Probably one of the best Indian meals I’ve ever eaten! Thank you!!

Beautiful restaurant and so close to the theaters. very good service. often used and always great eating. Maybe there could be warmer than if they were sitting from the window during the last bad weather, it was quite cold.

Really delicious food and good service. good location near the hippodrome theat. would recommend.
