Bugis Street Brasserie - Birmingham

Fab meal in this restaurant last night. was a Saturday night and yes we were the only ones in it. we received a very good service from the employees who work here. the food was ready for a Malaysian/Chinese menu for two. more than enough. competitive price. would definitely recommend.

We dined as a group of 8 on a Saturday night and had a lovely linen set private table. The food was excellent and good value. The service was attentive with lots of time to enjoy the food and company.

However, the portion sizes were quite small. Despite that, with the discount, it was still worth it since the food was delicious and authentic. I wonder if the portions would be larger without the tastecard. The low rating is mainly due to the service here, which is not very good. On my first visit, the restaurant was empty, so we were served quickly. A Romanian waitress (I think) was very nice, but later on, an Asian man approached our table around 9 PM and abruptly told another waitress, "They can finally start cleaning when the customers leave." It felt like a rude hint for us to leave, which was really inappropriate. I believe they close by 10:30 PM. On my second visit, I brought some friends, and they also noticed the slow and rude service from certain staff members. Thankfully, the good food and discounts help, otherwise I don’t think I would return. They also offer a 25% discount during specific times (see attached picture).

The food was fantastic, featuring authentic Asian dishes. The staff was attentive and eager to assist us. My companion and I ordered four courses, and they truly exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend a visit!

Great food at reasonable prices! We had the Peking duck, which was presented beautifully. The mee goreng and nasi goreng were both delicious as well!
