Hacienda Mexican - Binghamton

I have dined at this restaurant a few times now, once for takeout and once dining in, and I really enjoy it. The atmosphere is lively and colorful, similar to Tapatios in Vestal and Grandma's in Endicott. The staff is generally soft-spoken but very pleasant. The food is on par with these other restaurants, but I think the atmosphere here is my favorite. I tried the Camarones al Chipotle on my first visit and loved it so much that I ordered the similar Camarones Poblanos on my second visit. Both times, the execution was consistent and the shrimp were cooked well, in a creamy and flavorful sauce. It's difficult to compare, but I think the Chipotle sauce is spicier and richer, while the Poblano sauce has a more vegetal taste. Both were delicious! The rice and refried beans on the side were standard but tasty. I particularly enjoyed how they prepare their beans. I found it cute that they serve the guacamole salad in a small tortilla chip cup to keep it separate from the hot dishes. I also tried their horchata, which was smooth and perfectly sweetened. They offer complimentary chips and salsa, and the salsa has a delicious roasted flavor. The portions are very generous and reasonably priced. I was able to finish all of the shrimp, rice, and beans, but saved the tortillas for later.

Standing at the front waiting... three people walk in after me and are behind me.. he asks them to be seated... totally ignored. Service is horrible .

Authentic Mexican food in a colorful setting. Salsa and chips were tasty and fresh. The mini chimichanga appetizers were great. Service was friendly and efficient. Large restaurant that can accommodate big groups too. Recommended.

I love this local restaurant, it doesn't seem like it gets enough attention. The food here is great. The service is also great! everyone here is supper friendly. Service is fast and waiters are amazing. They have a lot of options for food.

Love! They bring a bright, fresh and spicy tomato salsa along with a cheese sauce with your entrees plus, delicious beans and rice! Enchiladas Rancheros were supreme! Generous margaritas, too. Friendly and fast service! Lovely dinner with friends, thank you!
