The food at Air Force Basic Training must be on par with low grade dog for the food here to get the reviews it does. Its no different from any other military chow hall I've been to. Everyone sings its praises, so I came here hopeful, but skeptical. I was not surprised one way or the other. Pre-cooked, reheated and served bulk food service slop. No flavor, no seasoning (and I don't even like heavily seasoned food), tough/rubbery. Regardless of the low prices, its still not worth it to me. PB&J for the next few weeks it is.
I enjoyed the food, it was nice and fresh, there were plenty of varieties and the workers there were very friendly
20231203.Small lunch at Keesler AFB DFAC.$16.76Hello FSS, is that price right for troops???
Lack of variety and lack of more healthy choices. Fruit is also only put out at breakfast. If it is out at lunch and dinner, it’s not easily found or accessible. People do like to eat fruit more than just once a day.
