Topz Sandwich Company - Billings

I work close so I've been in a few times. I usually get the same thing with no customizations but its supposed to be a hot sandwich and is always cold in the middle. Other than that the food is okay. The staff seems unorganized and always in a hurry whether it's busy or not and the older lady doesn't have a good attitude and is not very friendly. Think I'll stick to Subway from now on.

First time ever having TopZ. Maybe I went on a bad night or bad time? Ordered for pickup at 5:30. There was literally no one else there and my order was the only one for pickup. Walk in, very friendly lady says hi, then proceeds to grab a loaf of bread and slaps it down on the NASTIEST cutting board I've ever seen before asking what we would like. This thing was dark brown and covered in vegetable juices and pieces, meat shavings, and bread crumbs. It was like something you see on Bar Rescue legitimately. Having worked in food service and managed a bakery/deli, there is no way this cutting board is being properly cleaned. She didn't even bother to wipe it off with a rag before putting the bread on it. That's how you get people sick. Ordered a chicken queso crunch and it was awful. Driest chicken sandwich I've ever tried to eat. Don't know if it was overcooked or just reheated to death but it was almost like shaved jerky. To top it off, it was absolutely smothered in black pepper. So much so that I couldn't even taste the cheese when I put it on the sandwich. Couldn't eat more than half because it was burning my mouth, throat, and nose. Maybe that's how it's supposed to be, don't know but it absolutely killed my stomach and I've been paying for it all day today. I just can't get over how disgusting that cutting board was. Especially the fact that there was no one else there and no other orders to make, they could have taken just a minute to at least wipe it down. Won't go back, wouldn't recommend.

The cashier had an attitude because it was our first time there and didn't know what we were getting. Then let us know she already charged us and if we had wanted combos we should've said so. But we had thought we were ordering a combo already. So she charged everything separately which ended up costing more.

We chose this restaurant because it was closer to our hotel than the subway, which is typically what we do on business trips. I'm so glad we decided to give it a try! The staff here were incredibly friendly, and the sandwiches were fantastic. We had the Turkish bacon guacamole sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich. They were very generous with the portions, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The soup, chips, and queso were also great. We’ll definitely come back here on our next trip to Montana!

While exploring the area, we decided to sample some local cuisine, and we were not disappointed. I tried the Italian Stallion sandwich, and it was unlike any sandwich I’ve had before. The fresh cucumbers and perfectly toasted bread added a delightful nutty flavor. It’s definitely a stop worth making!
