We have eaten in many places in south goa and the food here is as good as any restaraunt, the fish is really good and the price is right.
We decided to make the Rosary Beach Shack our local whilst staying in South Goa. The owner is a most charming young man and nothing is too much for him. The fish lunch and dinner we had were simply exquisite and probably the most tasty we have had in India. I highly recommend this establishment even though it is surrounded by many more expensive places for refreshment.
Rosary Shack is a family run shack restaurant right on the beach at Utorda, its family run by Daria, Francis and their son Franio. The food is excelent especially the Crab, lobster and Barracouda. Its reasonably priced, beach shacks are slightly more expensive than those inland.Francis and Daria will offer you any assistance if you need any or advice or guidance, The location is excellent and if you get down there in the morning you may see the dolphins swimming up and down the coast line.Great place to chill out and eat.
The Rosary beach shack is on Utorda beach about 20 minutes walk from the Hyatt Hotel. Just a couple of hundred meters further than Zeebops. They have no electricity which results in the perfect combination of candle light and only the sound of the ocean. Combine this with top quality food and you have a dining experience that is as close to perfect as one could ever hope to achieve. It is family run, mother, father and son. They are all charming and very pleased to talk to guest about those everyday things that concern people and families thoughout the world. The food really is first class and they will do anything to please their guests. The walk along the beach in the moonlight is all part of the Rosary experience and one that we recommend as a lasting memory of this wonderful place called South Goa
