The Sloop Inn - Bigbury-on-Sea

A cozy pub with a fireplace and dining area. Orders must be placed at the bar but they are happy to open a tab for the table. The fish pie and mussels were really nice with generous portions. Booking is recommended in advance but they do accept walk-ins if they have space. The bar area is much smaller than the restaurant.

Stopped off for lunch walking the South Coast path. Great bar staff, lovely pub. Basket meal and prawn sandwich were decent and did the job. Would recommend if you are in the area. Dogs allowed.. Walkability: Great access from South Coast Path Service: 5 Location: 5

Great pub in a great location in the village not far from Bantham beach. Nice selection of local drinks and the food was lovely. There's a great buzz to the place and the staff and locals make you feel very welcome. We'll be back! Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Romantic, Great value

Fabulous pub they accommodated us as a table of 10 at the last minute and the service was fantastic the food was beautiful especially the scallops on the specials board! Really welcoming and lovely atmosphere Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

Great food here. I had the seafood platter as a main meal, it's really a started for 2 people but it was ample for me and I'm a big eater!!! Service was good too
