Moonlight Tavern - Big Sky

Service was amazing! All the staff was so friendly and really went out of their way to make it special for us!

I always have a great experience in moonlight tavern. I've been there for years when I big sky ski. I love the huge fireplace and large windows that make it a pleasure to dinate and see new snow fall. the wine list is very good and eating was always solid. I had an elk steak last time that was great.

The restaurant is as lovely as ever. However, the menu is quite limited these days. The salad was overloaded and somewhat unappealing. Despite it being peak season, the place was only about 10% full, yet we had to call twice to add two more people to our reservation for three. Perhaps visiting during lunch would be a better option?

The dining experience was quite pleasant overall. The potato soup was outstanding. However, the fondue seemed out of place with the Brezel bits, and I wish I had noticed that I didn’t order it from the menu. The fondue itself was good, but the short ribs were lacking in flavor and the sweetness was nearly raw. I prefer my sweet potatoes to be al dente rather than soggy, but this was far from it. The molten trout fritters had a wonderful crispiness, but the filling was bland; without the menu, I wouldn’t have been able to recognize the fish as trout.

Kale salat with salmon was fantastic. called the snowplow! carlos our waiter was professional and attentive...big lunchtime while skiing!
