Contribuiți la feedbackWent for my birthday with my family, and all of the food was amazing from the appetizers to the dessert fresh and delicious. My family and I have been visiting old forge for years and this is by far the best food we have had in the area. Few favorites the Brussel sprout appetizer, and brownies sundae were AMAZING! Will definitely be back!
I am very sympathetic to the lack of workers in the restaurant field at this time. However, if you know you're short staffed, do not take on more than you can handle. You will not be able to give people the standard of service they desire. Hence, all the negative reviews lately. There were 4 of us. We got there around 430pm and seated right away. Got our drinks right away so far so good. We then got our bread and butter. Bread appeared store bought; old and cold. Butter was FROZEN. We're expected to spread frozen butter on cold bread? We ordered and waited about 25 mins for our food. When you're paying $30 for a steak and $25 for haddock you expect it to be delicious it wasn't. Afterwards, our plates sat infront of us for no less than 30 minutes. It got to the point it was comical, simply ridiculous. I get they may be short staff, but we saw multiple staff members walking around as if waiting to be told what to do. Maybe better training? We got some cheesecakes for one of our birthdays. Three out of the four slices were fine, but the 4th was completely frozen! Frozen as in what you get at the supermarket and have to let thaw out over night. For 4 people it was almost $150. It wasn't worth half of that. I actually feel sorry for this place. It has a prime location but it seems to be going down hill in a hurry. Train the staff you have better, reduce your allowed intake until you get more trained staff, lower your prices, add some updates to your style of cooking/menu.
Great atmosphere , awesome food, great wait staff and service. Priced as a luxury restaurant and more upscale than Applebee's. And is a very nice, personable experience. Try their Biggest steak at the Steakhouse. You will be glad that you did. We're good to go here.
I love the food and the atmosphere of this place both inside and outside
The food was not that great. There was no flavor to the steaks. The salads were basically just lettuce. We were seated next to the entryway and watched staff eat and gossip about their diets and wanting to get cut first for the evening. We arrived when they opened at 4 pm, and it took 40 minutes for our food, and the orders were still wrong. Steaks were overcooked. They offer 3 sides, fries, baked potato, or broccoli. My son asked for mashed potatoes and was told they didn 't offer but when his plate came out he had mashed potatoes happy surprise but they were watery and disgusting so he swapped for fries) I ordered a baked potato and received fries.... perhaps offering only 3 sides is confusing for staff, or perhaps they were having an off night. We would not return to this restaurant, not worth the money. I will say I was impressed by the cleanliness of the dining room, I always look at the vents as a telltale sign of cleanliness, and theirs were clean. Parking: They do have a private parking lot but it is small so arrive early. Wheelchair accessibility: Not very wheelchair friendly, definitely by handicap standards. They would need to move things around for a wheelchair to fit through.
