The Copper Q - Big Bear Lake

I ordered a bagel with vegetable cream cheese and tomato, but it wasn't very warm and had a small amount of cream cheese. There weren't many options available at the time, and they were made with vegan eggs, so I couldn't order the breakfast burrito. Despite limited choices, I would return to this restaurant because they offer vegan scones and other appealing options.

So excited about the pastry options here. delicious coffee too.

I really wish I could give this 5 stars but Happy Cow only allows me to give 4 if it’s not an all vegan restaurant. The staff was great and had a lot of patience with me and all my vegan questions! I would definitely go back again! :

I loved the ambience of this place. My boyfriend and I came in here for breakfast before going sledding. I got a soy latte and a sesame bagel with vegan cream cheese and tempeh bacon, both were delicious! My boyfriend tried the meatball panini and let’s just say it was so good that when our dinner plans got cancelled we went back and both got meatball paninis for dinner!

I visited this restaurant three years ago and unfortunately, the service has not improved. They seem easily overwhelmed, even on Friday mornings, and appear disorganized. I attributed this to potential pandemic-related issues, but even prior to COVID, I had similar experiences with their service. I had seen online that they offered a vegan burrito, but when I visited today, it was made with just eggs. The menu on the wall did not clearly indicate vegan options, so I had to ask, although the staff was unsure. The cashier seemed annoyed when I inquired about vegan options and overall, the staff appeared unhappy to be there. On the bright side, they do offer a good chickpea salad, and I requested it to be made into a sandwich, which was not a permanent menu item but should be given its popularity. I also enjoyed a delicious vegan pumpkin chocolate chip cookie. However, my father ordered a non-vegan hot chocolate which was served to him twice by mistake, resulting in a refund.
