Henriet Biarritz

Henri et is well recognized for its patisseries but today we had an ice cream, and were a bit disappointed. Nothing outstanding really; the ice creams were tasty but not the top of the range.

That was our afternoon calorific (but worth it) treat. Good ice cream, chocolate and local pastries including the locally famous gâteau basque .

We stopped in after lunch for something sweet and, with a variety of dessert delicacies to choose from, I selected a chocolate éclair. While the sales lady wanted to box the treat, I assured her that the pastry would be finished within moments of exiting their nice little shop. It was and it was great!

I loved the eclairs. Especially the eclairs of the month caramel de sel. The lady was friendly and let me use my French or maybe she didn't speak English? Either way, I enjoyed the visit... several, actually. Prices weren't cheap, but about right for a centrally located patisserie

The macarons are ridiculously good!! a bit pricey but amazing. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
