I must say this place is really a hidden gem! the inner and the outer is very outdated; strange chairs and tables, white walls and water served in metal cups, but I think that's it trying to get the authenticity of the kitchen. they have a very small and simple menu, but this is what allows them to perfect whatever they already tell. I order an extra hot meat carai, which is slowly cooked meat with garlic, tomato, garam masala and topped by freshly chopped green chili. get this with a simple rice or a selection of nans they have made available. restaurant tasing...more
Visited for first time today before a hospital appointment at Royal London. My teenage son had lamb naan roll, vegetable samosa, tandoori naan and onion bhaji. Really friendly staff, we had take out as we were in a rush. Restaurant very clean and tidy. Food was absolutely delicious, could taste really vibrant spices, miles away from processed food from chains. We are going to travel up to London again soon and will make a detour to Whitechapel to have a less hurried lunch. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!!

I love coming here as the food is awesome and so well priced. I’ve been eating here since I was a child (at least 34 years) and it’s always been fantastic and I’m so happy that the cafe is still running. My father grew up in Pakistan and comes here whenever he’s in Whitechapel! I’m going back tonight!
Awful if you're rating this, it's clear you've not known authentic *Pakistani* food your whole life. The standard of food is actually embarrassing.. and this place has apparently been around for 30 years?! Sweet palak..greasy samoseh. Embarrassing. Give this a miss.
