Honeydale Farm Shop And Tea Room

The food was fine but horrendous customer service. Would never go back. My dad noticed thick limescale in his tea and swallowed a chunk of it. When we called the waitress over to inform her (very politely) she just nodded with a complete straight face and said “yeah I know, it happens” and then walked away. No apology. They even left the tea on the bill even though it was obviously undrinkable. I don’t usually even leave reviews but we are all very disappointed with the sheer lack of customer care after knowingly serving us hot limescale… would not recommend at all. Very rude.

Food is always consistent in this restaurant, the portions are generous, the produce is fresh quality, anything that can be homemade is it is always presented beautifully but sadly the service doesn’t keep up the high standards. There are always a lot of staff so it is never under staffed which is great but the women/girls are all so miserable. There is no warm welcome, no check backs, no smiles at all. There is often a table at the weekend which is occupied by family of the owner/manager. Whilst I understand they want to visit it isn’t practical when the 2 young children are running around or on the floor with toys, dangerous for the waitresses unnecessarily noisy for customers to enjoy their visit. I only return because the food is good, would never return or recommend on the service!

Beautiful day for outside brunch. Service was slow. Waited over 45 mins for 6 breakfasts. All came out different times, one breakfast had long hair in it ! Had to be sent back , we had nearly finished and last 2 friends still waiting for breakfast , ask repeatedly for it. When it came it was wrong , sent back and still came back wrong. Plus items left of order. Disappointed to say the least. If you can’t cope with orders didn’t allow so many to be seated, will I come back ? Not in a hurry . Also had a takeaway away week before and that was a shambles.

Not a bad place but not as good as people say always a very long wait for food yes they do let u no when there is a delay but seems like always not just at certain times now !!tea wasn't that good we both had the breakfast which to be honest was pretty bland watery mushrooms ,hard fried eggs etc !!staff get on with job not the freindliest

Racist and bad service. One hour waited for breakfast but walkout with no food. Socking the way spoke manager, no apology at all from her.
