Contribuiți la feedbackIf not, it SHOULD BE!!!! The owner (actually the wife) is extremely rude. Our service was very slow, and when we finally asked her to locate our waitress so we could get our check, her comment was “she is busy with a large party downstairs”, then she walked away. Nice customer service from an owner!!!! The food is hit or miss. Mostly miss. Breakfast are pretty decent. That is all we go for now because the service seems to be better at breakfast.
WOW, WHAT A CHANGE. THE FOOD WAS ALWAYS GOOD AT gUS’S, BUT THE NEW DECOR AND MENUE AT YANNI’S ARE TERRIFIC. WE HAVE BEEN BACK AT LEAST M0NTHLY, AND HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED. THE SPECIAL ARE INVENTIVE AND WELL PRESENTED. THE WAIT STAFF IS ATTENTIVE AND FRIENDLY, AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. TODD IS ALWAYS MAKING SURE THAT EVERYTHING THAT COMES OUT OF THE KITCHEN IS AT THE HIGHEST STANDARDS. MY FAVORITES ARE THE PORTOBELLA SAGNACHI, AND THE CHICKEN SPANAKI. THE GRECIAN PORK CHOP ARE TERRIFIC. I’M NOT A REAL FISH LOVER, BUT THE SWAI IN PARCHMENT OR IN PUFF PASTRY ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD. THE GREEK WINE SELECTION IS AMAZING, AND TODD’S SANGRIA IS WONDERFUL. FOR DESSERTS WE LOVE THE COOKIES. jOHN AND MARIE, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND YOU WILL BE IN BUSINESS FOR YEARS TO COME.
I am not one to sign up for these online review things, but I wouldn’t even want my worst enemy to have the experience that I did. I would rather eat my own vomit. And I actually did…..well not really. I just vomited a little bit in my mouth after finishing the meal. It was the absolute worst! Our service started with the waitress saying that she would give us 3 minutes to look over the menu because she had a big table in the front. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad. Can’t wrong with that, right? WRONG!!! The chicken tasted like it was cooked once, then microwaved, you know that weird tasting smell/taste? And the croutons were stale, and the lettuce was wilted. My husband got one of their “Mediterranean Specials”. Looked like a plate that was made basically by putting together a bunch of leftovers. Presentation was horrible and it tasted cold and disgusting. On top of that, if it’s not bad enough that the food is expensive and it sucks, refills on the soda were not free. Unfortunately we had to ask for another round of drinks to wash down the vomit that we were eating. We basically spent $10 just on soda. Honestly, you will get better service and better quality at Taco Bell. NO JOKE! And there, you get free refills!!!! Please, if you value your body and mind, DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!
Went to Yanni’s Tavern with the hubby for our anniversary thinking it would be special. It was horrible. The food seemed like it was heated in the microwave. I had fish and scallops that were so fishy I couldn’t eat it. The only part of the meal I liked was the plate of canned pineapple pieces that they give you at the end of your meal. My husbands platter was cool, like it sat in the microwave a little too long. NEVER NEVER will I return. Plus on a side note, the seats are really uncomfortable.
The new name is Yanni’s Taverna and I think the son took the place over and renovated it. I was there years ago and thought it was mediocre at best and that the interior was tired. The new owners are attentive, the renovation/interior design is well done Greek. You can dine al fresco in the summer but has some traffic noise. The service is awesome! They have beautiful whole fresh fish to view on a cart in the front. My fish was dry but they gave me a whole new one right away. The week before I had the vegetarian mousaka and I highly recommend it. If you order a carafe of retsina-be prepared to spend $30! That is the only real negative I have. It’s retsina for God’s sake-it was good but not a carafe for that much.We ordered 2 not knowing how much it was-crazy.
