In the context of its suburban shopping mall location, Frank Pepe's in Bethesda serves up satisfactory pizza at a fair price. However, when compared to its original establishment in New Haven, it fails to live up to the esteemed name. The original Frank Pepe's is renowned as one of the world's iconic pizzerias, known for its exceptional dough. Unfortunately, the dough at the Bethesda branch resembles typical mall pizza. It seems that key elements—including the recipe, ingredients, and kitchen training—have been overlooked. They should consider changing the name, as this lackluster outpost is undermining the brand's reputation.

Disappointing...sure not like the original in New Haven. The dough is tough and hard. Very difficult to cut with a knife. Wait staff is great though.
