The Old Schoolhouse Inn - Bethel

It was a confusing experience. I was charged for food that I never received. The teenage server seemed overwhelmed, delivering food randomly and without proper plates or settings, and avoided our family. To make matters worse, an older lady came in with some vinegar and yelled at us, creating a conflict by saying they were "too busy for a small group."

The atmosphere is pleasant, featuring a lovely hardwood floor in the dining area adorned with taxidermy throughout. We ordered some beers along with the crabmeat stuffed mushrooms, which turned out to be more of a crabmeat imitation—who knows what it really was? The stuffing was quite gummy and doughy. On the other hand, we tried the BBQ prime rib sandwich, and it was delicious! I highly recommend it if it’s on the menu.

Had an excellent overnight stay and meal. Enjoyed the steak and longhorn burger.

High dinner prices, no bar menu, cash on happy hour.

Excellent service. The bar keep/waitress was so nice. Food great. Nice experience.
