Captain Lou's Chowdah House - Bethel

Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed. Their website appears to be active and even has an online ordering option, but there are brown paper covering the doors and windows. We have decided to leave. It would be helpful if they remove their website when they are no longer in business.

The clam chowder at this restaurant is delicious and perfect for those chilly days. They also offer ice that I imagine would be refreshing on warmer days. I definitely plan on returning for that. The staff was friendly and our dining experience here was always fantastic!

This place in Newtown has the best burger in the area. For just 12 dollars, you get a Brioche bun, beef patty, salad, tomatoes, bacon, and a special sauce. It's a class act. The whole menu is tasty and affordable, so you definitely should visit. They also have amazing cinnamon sugar doughnuts that will change your life.

Not bad French pommes are meh disappointing to see styrofoam to go container. shrimp was well cut.

Should have tried the chowder,the lobster bisque, too SPICY, had to search for the minuscule pieces of lobster! $10 ?? Are you kidding.. Head out to Captain's Catch in Milford, if you want fantastic bisque. $6.00 Best Ever, tons of lobster
