Imo's Pizza - Bethalto

My boss and I come to the Wood River Imo's frequently. I love St. Louis style pizza. Imo's is good, but it really is the lower end of St. Louis style. Having said that, The staff is always friendly, the store is normally clean and orderly, and we usually have a positive experience. Our normal order is a Large Meat Pizza and 2 sodas. The pizza is always volcano hot and usually served in a timely manner. The only negative is the price. I get it, everything is expensive these days, but If I'm paying a premium price, I should get a premium product. A local finer dining restaurant with a much more superior quality St. Louis style pizza offers their pizza for a much lower price. I really like Imo's, but I wish the price fit the product.

Imo's is a family favorite in my house. I really love that, even on a Friday night, the wait is never too long. The young crowd that they hire are always friendly and the food is always good. Although, the location makes parking kind of difficult at times. I'm always afraid someone is going to zip around the side of the building while I'm trying to back out.

Anytime I have ordered from this Imo's, the delivery takes forever and when I have eaten at the restaurant, the tables were filthy. The service just down right sucks.

I usually enjoy their large special/deluxe pizza but today we ordered two lunch specials. We had the 8 and a side salad, plus an appetizer of wings. We ordered a sandwich to go for someone at work. The pizza was bad. It tasted like they used old dough and there was very little sauce or cheese. There was a good amount of sausage. The side salad was good. They forgot our order of wings. They messed up our order for the sandwich to go. There is a slight odor when you enter building. This was Monday in the middle of the afternoon but the restaurant(Carpet/restrooms) needed to be cleaned.

Walked in and almost every table was dirty and no silverware. Salad was very good, but floors and bathrooms made you wish you had eaten somewhere else. Had come to this location because Edwardsville location was just as bad. So sad.
