Old school style for the First Restaurant in Alabama . A well established, mainstay restaurant in Birmingham. I got the red snapper which was well prepared (not overcooked). Otherwise the food was simply OK. Was seated in the back near Party rooms . The place has many historically significant photos relating to the business. A worthwhile stop if in the area. Party of 13. Very good server. Didn't have to wait too long for food. Food was great. Greek style snapper, huge fried shrimp, great crab legs, stuffed shrimp baked and fried, good hamburger steak. All the food was great. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30

Excellent service from or server at a large gathering. The historic building and interiors are nice. The food is grossly overpriced and under flavored. Most things were not even warm... except for the Greek Rice which was warm and the star of the offerings. As it was a large gathering, we were able to sample most if the weekend lunch items.
