It wouldn't be so bad if the food weren't so expensive as well! I hate giving bad reviews, but it was just completely lacking in flavor and the service was slow also. It took nearly fifteen minutes to be served water.
Let me begin with our appetizer, the Super Nachos. A combination of all the classic delicious toppings and a melted cheese mixture that I want to eat on absolutely everything for the rest of my life. In fact, I absolutely devoured those nachos with help of the company i was with (mostly me). Left me with just enough room for my chicken chimichanga combo, that which was perfectly portioned, filling, and delectably savory. the service was exceptional. the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. with a beautiful wood carving of a seagull placed in the center of the dining room. If you find yourself in the beautiful city of crescent, i highly recommend for an absolutely wonderful dinner experience. Toreros Famosos was a dream.
I've been going here for 20 years. Nice Staff love the food.
The food here was tasty. It wasn’t exceptional, but it was better than average. I would eat here again based solely on the food. Our waitress was friendly but slightly pushy to take our order and move us along. She was also keen to upsell us on the more expensive margaritas. Once the food was delivered, we never saw her again. She didn’t even bring us the check at the end of the meal. We ended up at the front counter asking for it eventually. The atmosphere is mediocre with dated furnishings that smelled like their age. There was a bar with pool tables adjacent that shared the bathrooms. Next to our table was a doorway that had plywood covering it and multiple times during our meal someone tried to open the plywood from the bar side. The bathrooms were clean but smelly. I did appreciate the size of the bathroom stalls. The restaurant is accessible to all and wheelchairs would have no problem navigating any of the spaces. Dietary restrictions: As with every other Mexican restaurant, they were easily able to accommodate dairy allergies by leaving ingredients off. I’m sure they would also be able to accommodate vegetarian eaters but perhaps not vegan ones. Parking: There is plenty of free parking in their parking lot but it is slightly tricky to turn off the busy road into the lot then locate the spaces to the side of the building. We also had an incredibly difficult time turning left out of the parking lot when it was time to leave. This road is pretty heavily trafficked. Also there appears to be a fairground across the street and this could further impede access to the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Kids would be welcome and would not be a disruption. The adjacent bar might make one reconsider the time of day they take children to this restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs would easily be able to navigate this restaurant including access to the restrooms. All tables appeared to have ability to accommodate a wheelchair.
My family and I eat here and the food is great! Their Pollo en molé is the best!!
