Trattoria Agristella - Bertiolo

We were running some errands in Friuli and ended up in this trattoria which takes its name from the river Agristella. Before entering in the restaurant we enjoy the beautiful landscape. The small river flows fast and its color and the vegetation surrounding it are just amazing. There were many turquoise dragonflies flighting over the river. It was incredible. There river provides the trouts that are offered in the restaurant. The trattoria itself is rustic and simple. It has a very big room inside and many tables outside. I imagine that must be full during the evening. The food was very good. The carte offers some special dishes, of course trout prepared in different ways, some pasta dishes, some entrees and desserts. We had pasta with trout and it was excellent. My husband got some prosciutto and friulan charcuterie. Latter he had a dessert whose name I can' remember and I got a sorbet. Everything was very good. The service was outstanding. Two sweets, kind and very professional young ladies took care of us. I am sorry that I did not asked her names. The prices were very very reasonable. I read that they had opera performances some evening. That must be very nice.. So we were very satisfied.

On Easter Monday we had reservations for a group of 32 people for lunch at 12 pm. We arrived on time and ordered our meal however we were finally served 3 hrs later. We ate grilled meat mostly which was good but certainly not worth waiting for 3 hrs. I do not recommend this place for any group. Maybe they do better with just couples. Not a favorable experience.

The place is very nice, under the trees on a small river. I had the best frico I ever tasted since I live in this region. The wine was good, the home made pasta very good, even the grappa was excellent. Moderately priced. You must try it

Specialità di carne e verdura sul piatto e piatti tipici come l'oca in umido. Buoni prezzi. parco con giochi per bambini. ampio parcheggio.

Posizione meravigliosa tra acqua stellata e querce secolari. ottimo e semplice servizio e qualità.
