Berri Hotel Bistro

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Out of 14 menu items, only 10 were satisfactory. The crumbed prawn cutlet I ordered was subpar, and the chips were cold and soggy. To top it off, one staff member with braided hair was very rude. Overall, it was a disappointing dining experience.

We dined at this restaurant twice during our stay at the hotel. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, but there were a few ladies who were unfriendly and dismissive. My vegetarian meal was satisfactory, but my granddaughter's pasta was average. My partner's meal was decent. In general, the food was overpriced for the quality. There were limited vegetarian options, with only two options for mains and no options other than toast for breakfast unless you eat eggs. I would likely choose to dine elsewhere if given the chance.

Last night, we had dinner at the Berri Hotel's main dining area, with a beautiful view of the river. Despite it being a Monday night and not booking ahead, we were surprised by how busy it was. Thankfully, the friendly waitress helped us secure a table, but later on, all tables in the large area were occupied. It's a good idea to make a reservation, even on a cold Monday night in June. The menu offered a variety of typical pub food options, with generous and delicious servings. The service from the numerous staff members was exceptional. Overall, we had a great meal at a reasonable price, with nothing to fault.

Just cancelled our reservation…Manager was so rude to my wife. She was heard before she hung up to call her a ‘f….ing ****”. When my wife rang back she denied saying it, blaming it on “someone walking by”. Short story…we will take our money elsewhere! Booking cancelled.

My husband had the kangaroo. It was very well presented and the meat was extremely tender. Thoughly enjoyed
