Restaurant & Bar Royal Punjab - Bern

Very nice service with delicious Indian food. it was perfect. for us it should be a little sharper, otherwise perfect Indian cuisine. we're coming back!

An authentic Indian restaurant, not chic, but lovingly made. the dishes are freshly prepared with many seasoned and correspond exactly to the Indian cuisine. since we came back from a world trip before 4 weeks and visited india, I can judge it. the restaurant is a family run and the guests are extremely friendly, especially attentively supervised.

We come into the slightly cuddly local and are hardly perceived, although this is virtually empty locally around the midday. as a guest you have to become actiw yourself and go to the buffet. menu only gives one, but this was correct. even the prices are ok! once and never again!

I love their lunch buffet, which comes at a really good price and has both meat and veggie opions. It's a really nice and clean place too, and in summer you can even sit outside. If you're an expert of the Indian cuisine, you will agree that the food is delicious and authentic. If you haven't had Indian food and want to try, try the lunch buffet, as it gives you a great idea of typically Indian cuisine without being as overwhelming as menu cards can be. The service is excellent, too. Very friendly and always happy to help.

First I would like to note that I myself have had Indian cooks and high demands on Indian food for 15 years.I was the first time in the royal and we had 2 currys. in contrast to all other Indian restaurant in the bern (okra, tulsi, maharajas palace and how they are all hot) you obviously know how to make good currys, gratitude. the flattened pakoras, on the other hand, were not so the hit for it but minzchuttney the more. the naas is unfortunately a bit depressed and for my taste too thin and crispy instead of soft and hearty.The currys are really top and the best in bern. even if I must say that even in the royal punjab in the currys much too much sosse and too little meat or vegetables is served. And the lamb was a bit tough.Dennoch 4 points because the people are super nice and the location / the ambiente is right. Predikat von mir: best curry in town
