Brasserie 11 - Bern

Stopped for a quick bite with my hubby, such a treat! Offers great fresh food and wonderful regional specialities. Had the white asparagus soup which was truly outstanding. Very cozy, both indoor and outdoor seating.

I was during lunch time in the Brasserie11. The lunch menu was simple consisting of 3 day menus and some other individual starters and main course. The food was average, the location is ok but the service is incredibly slow! Even without a full restaurant!...I'd rather not experience it when it is packed!

The worst soup without taste and Nüssli Salad full of fat I've ever eaten. My first and last visit..

I think the owners of the restaurant changes, definitely the chef did. aside from feeding us frozen vegetables and poorely made food (it was so bad, i actually questioned whether it is justified to pay for it), the tartar that was served was from expired...spoiled meat, already blue and purple

As another TA reviewer has already mentioned, Brasserie isn’t in the absolute town centre, but instead about a minute walk from the railway station. This means it isn’t full of tourists and seems to cater more for locals. The menu specialises in fresh,...local seasonal products. We sat inside, in a small side room, and had the place to ourselves because most of the other guests chose to sit outside, but our preference was not to sit on quite a busy crossroads. We both enjoyed our goats cheese salad starter which included strawberries and pine nuts with a balsamic dressing. There was also an amuse bouche of delicious gazpacho. I chose the calves liver as a main whilst my husband ordered the Wiener schnitzel which was gigantic it literally covered the dinner plate, with crispy French fries served separately (they’d never have got them on the same plate as the schnitzel There is a very extensive wine list, but we chose one of their recommended bottles a Swiss Johannisberg which was absolutely delish! One of the nicest wines we’ve ever had in fact. Service was just right efficient, friendly. We would highly recommend Brasserie In terms of cost it was about the same price as most other restaurants in Bern where main courses seem to average Swiss Francs. Wine is extortionately priced everywhere in Switzerland
