Trattoria Salute - Berlin

Came here while staying in the Arcadia Hotel we came for pizza was nice not the best we also came for drinks as there wasn't much bars about to have a drink and we were happy here as our room was just upstairs the staff...were ok couldn't speak much English

This place was near our hotel and we walked there for dinner our first night in Berlin. The staff was really sweet and helpful. They helped use translate the menu and select a nice bottle of wine. The portions were large. Not finishing my plate...of spaghetti with puttenesca distressed my waiter. He felt better that is was an issue with portion not the pasta. My husband had the daily special with duck. He enjoyed the duck and local mushrooms. I also enjoyed a bowl of mushroom soup from the list of daily specials. It was very velvety and not too rich. The atmosphere was very comfortable. It was a nice start to our Berlin visit

We were looking for somewhere to eat near our hotel and came across Trattoria Salute in Arcadia Plaza. The staff were very welcoming and once they realised we were English they gave us a menu in English. We had such a nice meal, pasta with...seafood, bolognaise, garlic prawns, all hot, fresh and yummy. Lovely bottle of Chianti and half bottle of white. Ice cream for dessert and one of the best Zabaglione I've had for a while. Came to around 90 Euros and we felt was good value for money. You can tell when the food is really good, I'd eaten it before I remembered to take any photos!

This restaurant was suggested for its convenient location for a business lunch. It was full and was hard to get a seat, but the meal I had was good, but just ok. I had the pizza and it seemed to just be a place to get pizza and pasta. Maybe the pasta is better than the pizza?
