Shaniu's House Of Noodles - Berlin

You know, i am a sucker for a good bowl of noodle soup and this has to be the best one in berlin let me tell you why1. The bowls are all priced the same, for some reason i really love that2. All bowls are good, some are exceptional3. The texture of the noodles are really quite unique, you have to try them to know what I mean4. The interior is average at best, since the place is very small and gets crowded fairly quickDon't order anything else than the noodle soup, they also offer other good stuff but it's called house of noodles for a reason. I am a Chinese and have been to many Chinese restaurants in Berlin. It was so frustrating for me couldn't find any good ones in big city Berlin. I finally found one this authentic and great qualities restaurant. The price also absolutely affordable. Food here is not only amazing. The chef think outside the box and turn regular Chinese food into something special. I am going there all the time now and u? :)

It's no wonder this restaurant was busy with people during our lunch visit - it is clean, has good service and the home made noodles are excellent. Fully recommended.

The restaurant was full so we had to wait a short time. It looked clean and bright. The seating was uncomfortable and the table a bit too low. The table was quite small, leaving very little room for two of us to comfortably eat our meals and have drinks. The menu appeared Westernized and non-traditional. I ordered a kimchi noodle dish that tasted ok. The quality of the noodles were good but, overall it just seemed careless and lacking. I could've just stir-fried noodles and kimchi at home for a fraction of the price. My dining partner thought the soup was very good.

The service was great - we had heard the restaurant was tiny and always booked up, but the English-speaking waitress kindly took a reservation and told us to come back in 40 minutes. We weren't disappointed. The food is fresh and insanely tasty - the freshly prepared spring rolls and dumplings were perfection. And the prices were great! Very warm and inviting staff, great range of food. The only slight niggle was the fact they didn't take credit or debit cards - which is annoying for an international traveller. Be prepared and come with cash.
