Osteria Caruso - Berlin

Busy trattoria, even on a Tuesday night, food was tasty and generous portions, service was attentive, bit surprised at the lack of a wine list but the wine recommended by the waiter was very acceptable and not over priced. I’d happily eat there again but I might share a pizza, they were huge.

Walkable from the Ritz and Potsdamer Platz but still a little out of the way so it has a ‘neighborhood gem’ kinda feel to it.

Wir waren mit vier Erwachsenen im August Gast in diesem Restaurant. Das Essen war o.k., der Service sehr aufgesetzt. Uns hat sehr festört, dass Mutter und Sohn sehr lautstark vor allen Gästen miteinander gesprochen haben und bei der Abrechnung kein Beleg oder eine Auflistung vorgelegt wurde und der Betrag laut durch das Lokal gerufen wurde.

Visited here last Tues night, we had seen good reviews on here and as it was the nearest Italian to our hotel we decided to give it a try - we weren't disappointed!It's always a good sign when all the staff are Italian. Quite big inside and also had outdoor seating, contrary to the pics we had seen beforehand. The service was quick but personal and the recommendations from them were spot on. They do not accept card payments at the moment though so make sure you have cash handy, I had to leave the other half sat for 25min whilst I tried to find an ATM in the Sony Centre (follow the illuminated 'Food & Shops' sign down the escalator!!) but the staff looked after here while I was gone.5 stars!
