Zabu Zabu - Berkeley

We have eaten twice here and had a lot of fun both paintings. the restaurant has no alcohol license right now, so no cocktails or rather to go with the food.

Delicious shabu shabu. very attentive waiting staff. nice that we finally managed to make it a fun, delicious place to eat! much better than fondu!

This place is great for a new type of cuisine. The food is fresh and there is a lot of variety. That being said it is expensive for the all you can eat option. The sushi should be considered only a side because that is clearly not their forte and there is a lot of rice with minimal fish. Stick with the small dishes which are excellent, especially the mussels. The service was excellent and they were very attentive.

This was our first time eating at a hot pot restaurant. The service was prompt and the staff had helpful explanations of how to cook our meal. The produce was fresh as were the meats we chose. We arrived at 6:15 for an 8:00 theatre and had no difficulty with the timing. The only challenge is that the veggie pieces were large and became a bit messy when trying to cook+eat with chopsticks. When we return, we will order specific veggies that fit our tastes, but trying the fixed price meal for our first time there was the way to go.
