Unfortunately, the location in Berkeley, where I have been going for over 25 years, has closed. Now the only options are in Pinole or maybe Walnut Creek, which I am not familiar with. It's so sad because the Berkeley location was one of my favorite places to go."
The best cheesesteaks in Philly can be found at this place! Unfortunately, they have closed down due to losing their lease for the building.
The restaurant is fantastic, with delicious and flavorful cheese steaks. What truly sets this place apart are the amazing staff members who work there. Unfortunately, they have lost their lease and will be closing on November 1st.
The place is great, the cheese steaks are great and tasty and what it puts above the top are the great people working there. Unfortunately, they have lost their lease and are closed on 1st november.
This location is a more than a bit long in the tooth, but that gives it character, not unlike the typical authentic cheesesteak joint in the Philly area. Don't believe me? Check out the pics hung on the wall all the way in the back of the shop of Pat's Gino's in Philly; two shops that are famous for having legions of devout patrons that loathe the other shop's followers in true City of Brotherly Love tradition. (Truth be told, the best cheesesteaks aren't found at either place nowadays anyway. Yeah, I said it This location feels like it could be down the street from either in Philly, minus tha accent attitude.Amoroso's rolls flown in from Philly are the key; you won't find them at any other cheesesteak purveyor in The Bay. Order a king with white American cheese for the full experience.
